Volunteering at AIMS Hospital in Cochin, Kerala

A strong volunteer association has been formed at AIMS to provide support to the hospital staff. The commitment and dedication of every volunteer who comes plays a vital role in supporting the work that has already begun at AIMS and will assist in continuing to provide exceptional health services to AIMS patients.

We are primarily looking for professionals who have already had experience in their respective fields to complement the professional expertise of our staff. Nursing, physical therapy, medical technology in radiology, nuclear medicine, profusion and respiratory therapy, pharmacy, computer technology, medical records, medical transcription, library science and materials inventory are some of the areas that are requesting help. All volunteers are required to be fluent in written and spoken English.

AIMS is asking that volunteers commit to a minimum of six months of full-time, consecutive service. Volunteers must arrange their own transportation to AIMS but will be provided with accommodations and meals for the duration of their service at the hospital.

All applications will be reviewed and responded to. The process involves interviews with the Supervisor of Volunteer Services and/or another AIMS representative. Certificates of health will be required for everyone, and a background check will be required for some positions.
