The four-day program in Washington DC, held at The National Conference Center, was a beacon of joy and spiritual renewal as devotees gathered in large numbers each day, their faces alight with excitement and anticipation to see Amma.
Amma led meditation sessions, sang soul-enchanting bhajans, and conducted prayers for world peace. The atmosphere was suffused with peace and tranquility, drawing the minds of devotees into a deep sense of sanctity and divine presence.
During the three-day retreat, Amma distributed prasad to everyone who participated, filling their hearts with joy and gratitude for the precious opportunity to receive blessings directly from Amma’s hands.
The event also featured several music and dance performances by local artists, adding to the festive spirit. One of the most enchanting was a traditional Gujarati Garbha dance, narrating the story of Sri Krishna holding up Govardhana to save the villagers. Amma delighted in the dedicated efforts of the performers, reflecting her appreciation and encouragement.
Throughout the four days, Amma gave darshan to thousands, listening with compassion to their joys, sorrows, and longings. The atmosphere wasemotionally charged as Amma embraced each person, transforming their sentiments into waves of divine bliss.
Among the notable attendees was Billy Corgan, the famous musician and lead singer of the US band The Smashing Pumpkins, who came to receive Amma’s blessings.
As Amma’s Washington DC program concluded, it left behind a trail of love, peace, and spiritual fulfillment, with devotees eagerly looking forward to the next leg of Amma’s America Yatra 2024.
