Amma is the bridge that connects the East and the West

Amma’s three-day program in Tokyo marked the conclusion of her 40-day journey across North America, connecting the East and West through her message of love and peace. Held at Bellesalle Takadanobaba Hall in Shinjuku, Tokyo, the event drew thousands of devotees eager to receive Amma’s blessings after a five-year gap.

The excitement and happiness were palpable as Shri Sibi George, the Indian Ambassador to Japan, and his wife warmly welcomed Amma. In his address, Ambassador George said tha “As a diplomat of India for the last 30 years, I have seen how Amma connected the East and West, through her message of love and peace. Today, through her life and mission, Amma teaches world that ‘Manava Seva is Madhava Seva ( Service to Humanity is service to God).

Dr. Elisabeth Bertagnoli, the Austrian Ambassador to Japan, also welcomed Amma and participated in the distribution of Tulsi plants to AYUDH youth members as part of the MAM’s Green Friends initiative.

In a special event on Aug 15th, India’s Independence day, Amma planted trees at India House in Tokyo, joining the #Plant4Mother campaign launched by India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. She was accompanied by Ambassador Sibi George and his wife during this noble act.

Throughout the three-day event, Amma led meditation sessions, prayers for world peace, and sang soul-stirring bhajans. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as several thousand people came to receive Amma’s motherly embrace. As always, Amma tirelessly continued giving darshan throughout day and night, ensuring that every person received her blessings.

The program also saw the presence of Dewi Sukarno, a famous Japanese celebrity, businesswoman, socialite, television personality, and philanthropist, as well as the wife of Indonesia’s former President Sukarno.

During the darshan, Amma’s Japanese children delighted her with a traditional dance to the tune of a Baduga Song, bringing smiles and joy to everyone present.

With the conclusion of this three-day program in Japan, Amma’s America-Japan Yatra 2024 came to an end as she returned to Amritapuri, leaving behind a trail of love and peace.
