Racing Along the Razor’s Edge

Another book published by Mata Amritanandamayi Math released to the world on the day of Amma’s birthday was Racing Along the Razor’s Edge by Swami Ramakrishnananda, one of Amma’s senior disciples.

The book takes its title from a sloka in the the Kathopanishad, which reads: “Arise, awake, approach the Great Masters and become enlightened. Arduous is the path, as difficult to tread as the sharp edge of a razor, so say the wise.” But as Swami Ramakrishnanada explains through this book, Mahatmas like Amma are here to help us tread this path with relative ease.

The book is full of practical spiritual advice that Swamiji has gleaned from Amma since coming under Her wing in the 1970s. Within the book’s 277 pages, he investigates the cause of sorrow, the importance of having a Guru, the paths of devotion, knowledge and action, renunciation and God’s Grace.
