Welcome Disagreements and Criticism with an Open Heart

13-14 Feb 2025, Madurai, Brahmasthanam Festival – Bharata Yatra 2025

The 30th anniversary of the Brahmasthanam Temple installation in Madurai was celebrated with immense devotion and spiritual fervor as Amma graced the festival, showering her blessings upon the thousands gathered.

Upon Amma’s arrival at the specially prepared venue, she was warmly welcomed by distinguished guests. On stage, saris and financial assistance were distributed to members of Amrita SREE self-help groups, empowering them on their journey toward self-reliance.

Welcoming Amma to Madurai, R.B. Udhaya Kumar, MLA of Thiruparankundram, expressed his deep gratitude: “Amma is not only a spiritual leader but has also engaged in countless charitable and humanitarian activities for the past 48 years. In Madurai Brahmasthanam, we celebrate the 30th year of this legacy, and Amma is bestowing her darshan and blessings upon us.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Amma on behalf of all the people of Madurai.

Amma’s Spirituality comprises of many service departments. Medical support is one among them. Education service is there. Disaster relief efforts is there. Immediate relief is there. Visionary relief is also there. Short term relief is there. long term relief is also there.

How is amma able to give to the entire world? Whatever that is usually possible by God and Amma is doing it means we are all getting the Gods grace and love in Ammas form.

We can see the seven wonders of the world. But we cannot see the different service activities of Amma. But all of us or able to experience it. That’s why so many of us are gathered here to receive Amma.

Amma was born in poor fisherman family and has undergone the difficulties of poverty, understood it, experienced it, assimilated it. So Amma created service centres and hospitals and proved to the word that it is not a formality but it is a real service to humanity for past 48 years. So Madurai is proud to welcome you.

Meenakshi Amma protects us throughout the year. Although Amma visits here only once annually, she is always mindful of us. In our busy lives, we may forget to think of our children, parents, relatives, or friends, but God has blessed us with an Amma who never forgets us.

Amma’s service is tailored to meet our needs without discrimination; she sees only the needy, and wherever there is need, Amma’s Ashram service is there—a truth proven time and again.

Her exemplary work has instilled in countless people the confidence that God has provided someone who loves, cares for, and supports them. Amma accomplishes what governments do, yet she wields no authority or seeks votes; in fact, she mirrors the work of God, embodying divine blessings.

In this scientific age, while we celebrate achievements like sending rockets to the moon, Amma consoles us by serving living beings with constant love and care. She makes us feel that she is always there, offering unconditional support.

May Amma’s service continue beyond all boundaries. Though we see her as God’s form in human body, I pray to God for her long and healthy life so she may continue to care for us as our beloved mother.” His words resonated with the thousands of devotees gathered, who expressed their joyous acceptance with thunderous applause.

In her satsang, Amma shared a profound insight on relationships and human values:

“True friendship blossoms when people can embrace disagreements and criticism with an open heart. Effective coexistence is born from this friendship. True coexistence is built on the awareness that humans should collectively share this Earth, its natural resources, and its abundance with fellow beings and fellow creatures.”

For the delight of devotees, Amma led Ma-Om Meditation, White Flower Meditation, and Manasa Puja, personally giving instructions in Tamil. The event continued with Amma’s soulful bhajans, filling the air with devotion and bliss.

As Amma was concluding darshan on the second night, a vibrant procession of devotees arrived, carrying sprouted grains beautifully decorated pots (Mulapari) while singing traditional folk songs in praise of the Goddess.

Amma showered flowers upon them, watching with joy as they danced and sang with devotion. The entire venue resonated with folk music, bringing a touch of village tradition into the heart of the gathering as they narrated Amma’s life story in their unique style.

The two-day festival concluded with hearts full of joy, spirits uplifted, and a deep sense of connection with Amma’s teachings.
